Partner(s) Therapy

I provide virtual psychotherapy for partner(s) in Washington state.

If your main concerns and struggles are within the context of your romantic and/or sexual relationship(s), partner(s) work may be the best fit. Working with you and your partner(s) together allows us to focus on everyone’s needs in the relationship. This is a great way to improve communication and strengthen your relationship, in order to work towards a deep and meaningful connection with each other.

Partner(s) therapy with me can help you rise above your challenges and start moving towards your ideal life with less fighting and more loving. You will get you the fresh perspective you need to feel safer in your relationships and see patterns that you couldn’t on your own. Even if you are not sure if your problem is “serious enough” to seek therapy, I may be able to help.

Couples and triadic+ relationships come to my practice both to move through relationship crises and for general relationship maintenance. I work with relationships curious about non-monogamy, working through infidelity, exploring new identities, coming to terms with loss or transition, family-planning, and expanding their sex lives. I approach relationship therapy through a kink, BDSM, non-monogamy, and queer-affirming lens.

I love partner(s) therapy and working with those in relationships who are ready for counseling in Washington state! Together, we will explore Gottman Method Couples Therapy Assessment Relationship Questionnaires, work on Conflict Management, high cost/low-cost Trust Exercises, un/healthy bids for affection and Communication Skills, A New Approach to Premarital Questions that include topics of sex, affairs, polyamory/opening up, boundaries, a plan, and more!

Depending on what type of partner(s) work you are looking for, I incorporate the Relationship Attachment Model, Gottman’s work, Healing from Infidelity, and other theories. Checking in with those in the relationship is what is most important to me.

How it works:

I believe it’s possible to move from survival mode to a place of ease. You can thrive, live your purpose and find your joy … even in these challenging times.

You might be wondering what therapy with me looks like, and it’s a good question.

While I bring clinical expertise, you are the expert on your own life and our collaboration in healing is everything. I show up as a real person and believe that everyone is doing the best they can, when they can. I’ll help you identify your strengths, cultivate your internal and external resources, and make concrete plans that are in line with your goals.

In your therapy with me, we also look at how our world shapes us. This means looking at social/cultural factors and political influences and their influence on how you got to where you are.  At the same time, we will take a look at your unique life blueprint and how the experiences you’ve had (both the positive and the challenging ones) helped to create your current reality.

I then use a mix of out-of-the-box and evidence-based practices to help my clients get to where they want to be.

These May Include:

– Parts work

– Somatic Techniques

– The Gottman Method

– Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

– Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy

– Motivational Interviewing

– Creative Expression

– Narrative Therapy

Sessions are 50 minutes in length and my current rate is $165 per session. I have a limited number of sliding scale spots available for clients who are unable to afford the full session cost at this time. Reach out to me at info@courageousyou.us to discuss the sliding scale options available for my clients.
