I’m thrilled to announce a new partnership with Journey Clinical, a platform that is dedicated to making Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) more accessible for clients seeking holistic mental health treatment. This collaboration brings a wealth of benefits both for you, my clients, and for myself as a provider, and I can’t wait to share them with you!

Why Partner with Journey Clinical?

I partnered with Journey Clinical to make ketamine-assisted therapy more accessible to my queer and non-monogamous communities. This collaboration is a significant step toward that goal, offering new opportunities to expand access to KAP and enhance the services I provide—all at a more affordable price point for my clients. Journey Clinical’s collaborative care model ensures clients receive personalized treatment plans that promote long-term mental health and well-being. They also provide access to a supportive community of fellow KAP providers and ongoing education for me as well as streamlined service that make the entire process more efficient and accessible for you.

How This Partnership Benefits You

With this new partnership, I can offer a more seamless experience for clients interested in KAP. Journey Clinical’s in-house medical team will handle all medical aspects of your treatment, from eligibility determination to prescription management and outcome monitoring. This means you will have a dedicated medical team overseeing your safety and treatment plan while I focus on providing therapeutic support during our sessions.

For you, this partnership means:

– Easier Access: The process of starting KAP is more straightforward than ever. You’ll have an initial consultation ($250) with the Journey Clinical team to determine if KAP is right for you. If you are eligible, they will work with you on creating a personalized treatment plan, handle your prescription, and monitor your progress. If you are deemed ineligible, Journey Clinical will refund you the cost of your initial session.

– Enhanced Support: You benefit from the combined expertise of Journey Clinical’s medical team and my psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy practice, providing comprehensive care tailored to your unique needs.

– Greater Accessibility: Journey Clinical’s total costs for 8 dosing treatments (including the initial and follow-up medical appointment with their team, the ketamine prescription, and a personalized treatment plan created in collaboration with you and I, is just $638. In addition, Journey Clinical is in network with Aetna Insurance in WA state, and they can offer you a superbill for their services which you can submit to your insurance provider which often leads to partial reimbursement (depends on the insurance provider and plan). All of this equals greater savings for you!

Getting Started with Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy

Here’s a brief overview of how you can embark on your KAP journey with me:

  • Initial Consultation with Courageous You: Schedule an initial FREE consultation with me to assess if ketamine-assisted therapy could be a good fit for you. You can do this by emailing info@courageousyou.us and asking to schedule your free consultation for KAP services.
  • Initial Consultation with Journey Clinical: If after speaking, we feel KAP could be a good fit for your needs, you will then schedule an evaluation with a clinician from the Journey Clinical medical team to discuss your medical and psychiatric history and determine if KAP is suitable for you.
  • Personalized Treatment Plan: If eligible, you’ll receive a ketamine prescription and treatment plan prior to your first dosing session.
  • Preparation Sessions: We’ll then schedule 2-4 preparation sessions to align on the process, help set you up for success, and create intentions for your healing journey.
  • KAP Dosing Sessions: Your ketamine dosing sessions (usually 2-8 of them), held virtually, will be supported by me every step of the way.
  • Integration Sessions: After each dosing session, we’ll meet for integration therapy sessions to help you make sense of the insights gained and prepare for further treatment.

Who Is KAP For?

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy is a promising treatment for individuals dealing with conditions like major depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Ketamine works by enhancing neuroplasticity and helping form new neural connections, providing rapid relief and promoting lasting symptom improvement. It’s a unique modality that combines the therapeutic potential of ketamine with the depth of psychotherapy, creating a powerful healing experience.

Options for Individual, Relationship, and Group Therapy

I am excited to offer several different formats for KAP. You can work with me one-on-one for individual KAP sessions, or explore KAP in the context of your relationships. I offer specialized sessions for couples, polycules, and adult familial relationships, helping you to deepen connections and heal together.

Additionally, I am launching a virtual LGBTQIA+ KAP group in Washington State starting in January 2025! This group will provide a safe and supportive environment for queer individuals to explore their healing journey together.

*All of my ketamine-assisted therapy services are offered from the comfort of your own home where I will be virtually present with you.*
